Newsletter 28 March 2017

Hello everyone,

Thanks so much to those of you who have been coming to say hello on Saturdays when we gather near to the drill site. Your support makes a big difference to all those involved in this campaign.

We’re sorry to say that work has started at the site over the last two weeks in preparation for UKOG’s drill, which is due any day now. Please come along to our protest near the site this Saturday, April 1, at 2pm. We hope for a great show of public support and will be taking photos for circulation in the local and regional press.

Workers are now on the UKOG drill site at Broadford Bridge (Wood Barn Farm), Adversane Lane. We want to show massive local opposition. Please join us for a photo opportunity at the green, RH14 9JH. Bring your banners, family and friends. We need your support NOW!

Saturday 1 April at 2pm. Next to the Blacksmiths Arms, corner of Adversane Lane, near to the drill site. RH14 9JH

We will be in touch again soon about a public meeting with expert speakers in Pulborough on April 30th. Until then, we look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Thanks for your continued support.

  1. Hi
Having received SE FOE’s email today, I have sent the EA an email objecting to the Environmental Permit for Kimmeridge. Included in it under health impact is a reference to the following reports :
4.1 See Briefing by CHEMTrust : Fracking Pollution : How toxic chemicals from fracking could affect wildlife and people in the UK and EU, June 2015.
4.2 Health & Fracking : the impacts and opportunity costs by MEDACT, 2015.
I went to a Health and Fracking meeting in Haywards Heath last year and heard impressive speakers from the two organisations.
    Good luck!

  2. Thanks so much for emailing your objection. It’s greatly appreciated.
We’re holding a Public Meeting in Pulborough on 30th April, with some more good speakers. Hope to see you there or at a future event.
    Best wishes
